Brian Irvine (composer) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Brian Irvine (composer) Brian Irvine (born 2 January 1965) is a composer from Northern Ireland. He has written several film scores and his piece ''Interrupting Cutler'', partly based on the work of Ivor Cutler, was a winner in the 2003 BBC Jazz Awards. His opera "The Tailors Daughter " won a British Composers Award in 2007. "Irvine's avantgarde music is characterised by its ambition, adventure, wit and eclecticism, his compositions surrealistically juxtaposing free jazz, rock, rap, thrash, tango, lounge and contemporary classical elements."〔Trevor Hodgett: "Irvine, Brian", in: ''The Encyclopaedia of Music in Ireland'', ed. Boydell (Dublin: UCD Press, 2013), vol. 1, p. 538.〕 Irvine was Associate Composer with the Ulster Orchestra (2007-2011) and is currently Professor of Creative Arts at the University of Ulster.
